My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Duke
DOB/Sex: Aug 7, 2021, M/N
Breed: German Shepherd Dog
Known Health Issues: Was born with a malformed right eye. An enucleation was performed, and he is doing fantastic!
Good with: Cats! Dogs! Kids!
NO DOG PARKS

Duke is a fantastic young teenager who is SO ready to find his forever home! This boy has it all: looks, charm, and personality!

Duke is a confident boy, who does well in novel situations, and meeting new persons. He is currently very social, and easy to take anywhere. He struggles a bit with focus, which is not unusual for his age, and continued training will guide him to be just an amazing adult companion.

Duke enjoys a wide variety of activities, and is a great dog for someone involved in canine sports, or is committed to starting out! He made his debut last September at K9 Fun Zone, and got his first few jumps in! He loves the water, and I know this season he's going to find his dock diving legs with ease! He has also had the opportunity to try lure coursing and loved it! His hip xray at time of neuter showed no concerns, and he's more than ready for his career. He's built a little square, so doesn't have the reach that the standard calls for, but that doesn't stop him from keeping up! The name of the game is fun, and Duke is down for all of it!

Duke absolutely LOVES children, and he says: The Younger, The Better! If there's a junior handling out there, looking for the first GSD to work with, Duke is a great candidate to consider! He's just about that age where jumping is safe for his stage of growth, so agility and disc could easily be in the near future! He will absolutely be a true partner and best friend.

Duke is dog social, and gets along with most canine companions. He can be a 'bit much' for some, but is respectful when corrected. He has experience living with cats previously, so with proper introductions and boundaries, should be fine to live with them again.

Duke is so ready to find his true forever home, and start his road to stardom! Whether a backyard champion, or pursuing the podium, Duke is ready to go! Please message for an application to start the process.
