My story

Yuri is a senior fellow (10+ years old) who came to us very malnourished. He has put on a lot of weight and is doing much better. He needs special kidney/urinary food, and takes medication 2/daily for his thryoid. He is quite vocal and loving, just needs a home that can give him the special care he needs!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
