Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Baby Briggs is a 6 month old lab/mix puppy with a slight leg deformity. He is sweet, funny and playful. Has that great wonderful goofy labby personality and that leg does not slow him down at all!! Poor Briggs wasn't born that way - at just 10 weeks old, Baby Briggs became infected with the horrible parvo virus. He was taken to the emergency hospital for urgent care and treated with multiple medications including intravenous fluids. Briggs developed an infection in his leg that was so severe it caused damage to cartilage, tendons and exposed his bones. After weeks of specialized wound care the healing began but not without consequences, scar tissue developed and the tendons did were permanently damaged. Brigg's leg is slightly malformed but it doesn't slow him down at all or take away from his sweetness and from him romping around like a typical puppy. Please consider opening your heart and home to this wonderful boy.
Brigg's is currently being fostered on Staten Island. NYSRR is a small rescue located on Long Island. Our vets, trainers, volunteers, and fosters are located here, which is why we typically adopt to families within a 60 mile radius of Staten Island.
