Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Clare was a breeder Surrender to a shelter . She had a respiratory Infection and some masses on her forehead that needed removed. Clare is a super super sweet girl that is mostly blind due to lack of previous care for her dry eyes.
She does need drops in her eyes several times a day. She loves the company of other nice dogs and follows their lead in what to do since she can’t really see what’s going on. Since she was a former breeder she does have indoor potty issues but is learning to follow the pack outside and hopefully will soon learn that doing her business outside is what is best acceptable, in the meantime she is very good about going on a pee pad when inside.
She loves human attention and gives hugs and kisses , but she is still very afraid of anything coming over her head ( like your hand to pet her) as she immediately pancakes and tries to run away. In time she should blossom into the life of a very loved and spoiled bulldog. She gets along with everyone. She’s ready for adoption, but her perspective adopter must understand she was a breeder surrender to the original shelter and is still learning the ropes of being a family member. Clare would do well with a kind canine companion whom she can follow to go outside and continue her potty training. (It’s always good to have a mentor when learning the ropes at anything). Clare will need eye lubricants for the rest of her life several times a day due to severe dry eye which has caused her to become mostly blind (another reason she would do well with a canine companion to follow around). She has a heavy brow over her left eye due to all the muscle that had to be removed that one of the masses was embedded in. She's super cute!
