My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peaches =^-^=

Age: 6yr
Sex: Female
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Color(s): Peach and white tabby
Good with other cats?: Yep
Good with dogs?: Unknown
Litter trained?: Flawlessly

Overall Temperament:
I came to the shelter as an owner surrender, but I didn't do anything wrong! I'm quiet and fearful, but I let the shelter staff handle me as needed. I came in with my sister Cream, but we don't have to go home together. I don't mind the other cats in the room, mostly I just like finding comfortable places to hide and keep to myself. Someone please come rescue me soon!

Peaches' fee is sponsored! What does that mean? A generous donor has paid the adoption fee so you don't have to. If you'd like to, though, you can choose to pay it forward and sponsor another animal for someone else.

More about this shelter

The Aberdeen Area Humane Society serves the northern South Dakota and southern North Dakota area. We are here in the interests of animal welfare. We place homeless animals into good homes as well as rescue animals from abusive situations. We have a shelter facility just southwest of Aberdeen and house many animals while we try to find them good homes. We are a non-profit organization and are funded by memberships, donations, fundraisers and adoptions.

If you suspect an animal is being mistreated and/or abused, contact us. We will investigate or refer to the appropriate agency. Your call can be kept confidential and we will handle the rest.
