My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**BISCUIT HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Pal's Place would love to introduce you to Biscuit (FKA Bingo)! This sweet boy was born into the care of Pal's Place on 12/21/2020. His mother, a Treeing Walker Coonhound, named Becky, was rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in Kentucky. Shortly after her rescue, it became clear that Becky was pregnant, and within a few weeks of being in foster care, she gave birth to a perfect litter of seven puppies. Biscuit was adopted as a young puppy and has been well-loved and cared for since birth. His adoptive family includes a young child, and Biscuit gets very overstimulated and excitable around young children and plays a bit too rough with them. The family was hoping he would grow out of this behavior as he aged, but it got to the point where the child became afraid of Biscuit, and it was tearfully decided he would do better in a home without very young children.

Biscuit is now almost 18 months old and weighs just under 50 pounds. A DNA test revealed he is 50% Treeing Walker Coonhound and 50% Mountain Cur. He's a social, happy, well-behaved dog that will make an excellent companion for one lucky household. Biscuit is fantastic with other dogs, and we think he'd thrive in a home with at least one other canine companion. He also lived with a cat in his previous home, and the two of them got on very well. True to his breed mix, he's an active, intelligent pup who will do best in a home that can provide lots of daily physical and mental stimulation. He's quiet and well-behaved in the house and is crate trained and housebroken.

Biscuit is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date with vaccines and is taking monthly flea and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee to the rescue is $375. Biscuit is currently in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment only after applying. Please do not apply unless you are willing and prepared to welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying.
