My story

Meet Hopper!

Hopper is a sweet, Schnauzer mix....possibly with German Shepherd? We aren't certain on the Shepherd part but we are certain on the sweet part!

This boy and his brother, Roo, were surrendered to us after mom "accidentally" got pregnant. Mom is a Schnauzer mix so that part we are fairly certain of.

Hopper and Roo are typical puppies who love to play, snuggle, eat and sleep! They are about 9 weeks old and ready for their forever homes.

The boys are currently in our jail dog program where female trustees are caring for puppies while we get the vetted and find them wonderful homes.

If you'd like to add one of these amazing boys to your family please fill out our application at www.goofyfootrescue.org

The pups are in foster care in West TN and will be transported once their adoption is finalized.

Why adoption is a great option

Hopper, a Nashville Schnauzer (Standard)/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard)/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard)/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard)/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard)/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
