More about this shelter
We're a very small NO KILL shelter operated by the City of Hernando, which is largely operated by volunteers. We are physically located at 957 Hwy 51 in the garage behind Hernando Fire Station Number 2.
We are very dedicated to providing the very best care for our city's homeless pets and committed to educating the public about how to properly care for the animals in their families. We do all we can to keep pets in homes and out of the shelter. Because the south has such an extreme pet overpopulation problem, we try to relieve some of that pressure by transporting as many animals as possible to northern humane societies and waiting adopters.
