My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We're going to be honest here, Marley isn't your average happy go lucky dog when you first meet him. In fact, he is absolutely going to try and bite you if you don't have a treat in your hand. That is a fact. What's also a fact is he tried to bite all of us when he first met us. It took on average about 2 days for each of us to gain his trust.

He hasn't had an easy life so far. He was rehomed at least once and the person he was rehomed to decided it was okay to leave the home for a few days and leave him on a 2nd story balcony outside. Yep, you heard that right. So, we can see why Marley would be untrusting of people right away. Poor guy! Who knows what he has been through. But, once he gets to know you, he loves you so much. He hops in laps, he gives kisses, he goes on walks, he plays, he does everything a normal dog would do. So he's looking for someone that is willing to see how he is with the people he trusts and then decides they are going to take on this little project that will give them a great reward.

Still reading? WONDERFUL. Stop out to meet him today.

Please know Marley will need to be groomed on a regular basis and so far, he is NOT a fan of grooming or going to the vet. So a muzzle is a must.

Marley seems to like other small female dogs but not male dogs or large dogs.

Marley has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the $50 adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this dog, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)
