My story

SEUSS IS LOOKING FOR LOVE!

Seuss is a 7-year-old teddy bear. This sweet, gentle soul has the most expressive eyes, just yearning for someone to love him. He loves to follow instructions because his favorite thing to hear is “good boy!” He is very composed and polite, and is a very low maintenance dog. Seuss loves everyone, makes friends easily and is eager to please.

Abandoned by his life-long owners due to family changes, this easy boy is longing for the love he was raised with. He lived with children and other little dogs, and got along beautifully with all. He was devoted to his former owner, and is waiting to share that same devotion with a new family.

Seuss LOVES to play ball! He walks gently on a leash but get's excited when he sees other dogs. He will need some training for that. But he really enjoys his walks in the neighborhood. His ideal home is with people who are looking for an easy, mellow, middle-aged gentleman that has a lot of love to give. He asked if he could have a family who would play ball with him and take him for walks.

Seuss is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer, 501c3 non profit animal rescue group working to save animals from high kill Southern California shelters such as the Camarillo shelter. We give abandoned animals a safe permanent home through networking, adoption events and transporting animals to reputable 501c3 rescues. We have a strong focus on the most at risk for death row breeds; pit bulls and chihuahas. We advocate for animal welfare, affordable spay and neuter programs and ending backyard breeding. Through community education we hope to restore the positive image of the American Pit Bull Terrier as the loving family dog it truly is. We depend completely on charitable donations to support our work. Donations are needed to cover pull fees to get animals out of the shelter, temporary boarding fees, transport and vet costs. We support the NO KILL platform and dream of the day when all shelters will be NO KILL.
