My story

Rhubarb is part of our Puppy Palooza Pre-Teen Puppy Adoption Event! For a limited time, his adoption donation has been reduced by $200. Submit an application or talk to your adoption coach about meeting and adoption Rhubarb now to start making wonderful memories together! Keep reading to learn more about this special boy and what his perfect forever home would be! Are you ready to visit the Farmers' Market? The Rhubarb puppies are just as cute as can be! We think these puppies are Hound, Shepherd, Cattle Dog and Terrier mixes and are looking for actives families wanting intelligent, loyal and equally active puppies. Their mama Rhubarb is a sweetheart around 45 lbs who looked like a Cattle Dog and Terrier mix and while we don't know who dad is and exactly what breeds are in these puppies, we expect them to be medium to large in size when they are done growing. Beet, one of the more Shepherd looking dogs, is a curious explorer and is sure to be a great adventuring companion! He is agile and athletic and loves to play but is also quick to turn around and check in with his foster family. Beet is looking for a family that understands the time, patience, and energy needed to raise a young pup. We require all puppy adopters to provide training that includes: house training, basic training, leash training, and socialization. Additionally, this cutie is going to need proper exercise, mental stimulation, and your attention and love to grow up to be the best companion. We do not allow our dogs or puppies to sleep or live outside; they must be incorporated into your family and be made a priority in your life. In return, you will have the most loving and loyal family member you could ask for. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting a puppy, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Thank you for looking to Adopt a Labrador Retriever or other Mixed Breed Dog from California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue. Please take a moment and go to www.labsandmore.org and click on Adopt to complete our online dog adoption application. If you have any questions email us at doginfo@labsandmore.org or call us at 858-273-5386. Thank you for looking to a rescue group to fulfill your dream of adding a new dog to your life! More about this rescue

Labs and More is Southern California’s fastest growing and most active Rescue with over 325 dogs in our care at any given time. Even though we are growing and strong we remind our adopting families that we are a Non Profit - Grassroots - Volunteer run Organization. We adopt to patient, kind and respectful families who understand we are Volunteers. Matching families with appropriate dogs is our priority so we strive to adopt to the family who best matches with the dog. This year our Volunteers celebrated the adoption of our 13,000th Dog. We rescue for need not for breed and search out dogs that without our help have no chance of getting adopted from shelters. This year alone over 300 dogs in our care will get needed surgery, life-saving treatment, or other major medical care. We take in hundreds of pregnant moms who will be able to deliver their puppies in the safety of a home and in loving arms. All our dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered prior to being adopted. We cannot save them all but we will save all we can with the help of the generous support of people like YOU!
