My story

Stray/Spayed Female/ 65 lbs/ Staffordshire Mix/1Y 7 M/HW-

We don't have a lot of information on this girl but she's a healthy young female, muscular and trim, with a pretty tan coat. She came into Barc on 2/21 and is looking for a foster or adopter as a way out. She loves treats, which can sometimes indicate a dog who is easier to train. She is reactive to some other dogs near her kennel and will need someone with experience to help her meet new dogs and integrate her into a multi-dog family. It's possible that she is over stimulated in the shelter environment and is barrier reactive.

Staff Notes 1: When approaching kennel, Marilyn greeted me with a wagging tail and high ears. She was very treat motivated when loose leash walking but also pulled when going to the runs because there were other dogs there.

Staff Notes 2: Very vocal in kennel throughout the day as citizens pass her kennel. I went in to check on her and noticed she is fighting with dog behind her through the barrier. Low growling and scratching at divider. Dog on the other side of the divider is paying no mind to her fighting but has dilated pupils and seems very anxious due to her behavior directed towards him.
