This beautiful, super sweet 11 mos. old mom-cat is almost done raising her 6 kittens and ready for a home of her own. She and her babies were lucky to be rescued in No. Carolina when they were only days old. Lumi is very gentle, loves attention, petting and easily shows affection for her human. She will greet you at the door when you come home, tell you about her day and happily share your bed at night. Hardly out of kittenhood herself, this petite girl, who sports a uniquely colored coat/markings, enjoys being picked up and held. She is cat and dog friendly. Just purrfect. Meet her in Falls Church, VA Updated 6/17/22

We strive to make the "purr-fect" match through our interview and application process. Adoption fees, which range from $145-$165, include all medical work (FELV/FIV testing, shots; spay/neuter, etc); home visits are required prior to final placement. The majority of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs or as a companion to another young cat/kitten already in the home. Sorry, but we do not adopt very young kittens to families with children under 6 yrs old due to safety concerns for both child and kitten. Adopters also receive a certificate for a free comprehensive wellness exam at any Caring Hands Animal Hospital.

More about this rescue
We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. We actively promote the importance of spaying and neutering and best practices in companion animal care. The majority of our cats/kittens come from high-kill shelters. We do not receive any government funding and rely on private contributions, 100% of which go to provide medical care, food and supplies.
