My story

Meet Angus...he is a 3 year old neutered male in need of a new home. According to his previous owner he was ok with a cat and another dog. He is good with other shelter dogs when out on walks. We recommend a meet and greet if you have another dog. He was surrendered to us because he was knocking over a one year old in the home. He is hyper and jumps, so older kids would be ok. He loves toys and the Kong toys work well with him. He will go in a crate, but does not sleep in the crate. This sweet boy is house trained and ready for another shot at a loving home. Please open up your heart and visit the Taylor Animal Shelter. We are open Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 2 pm.

Why adoption is a great option

Angus, a Taylor American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Taylor, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Taylor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Taylor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Taylor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Taylor paves the way for another one to be saved.
