Bella is a 3 year old German Shepherd/Border Collie mix. We rescued her and her brother, Buck, from a puppy mill in Barry County when they were 10 weeks old. They have never been apart from one another. Bella deceptively cute, soft, and cuddly. She is also an instigator and likes to dig. They well behaved, smart, and trainable. Bella doesn't care for dogs other than her brother and may act aggressively towards toy breeds. They spent the first two years of their lives in the country guarding and herding chickens with little to no socialization with small children and other household pets. We moved to the suburbs to be closer to work and they have not adjusted well to the foot traffic and noises of the city. With a new position at my job and a busy schedule, the dogs have been spending too much time alone. Training has fallen off and the barking when we are not there is bothering our new neighbors. We believe, as difficult as it is, that they need better care than they have now.
