My story

Kobe is an intelligent and energetic 2 year-old Belgian Malinois and Boxer mix. This handsome boy is in a foster home in Springfield, Ohio. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, crate trained, house trained, knows some basic commands, and weighs around 40lbs. Kobe knows sit, stay/wait, down, and roll over. He also knows "home" which means to go into his crate. He would enjoy learning new tricks as well. Kobe has done fine with some of the dogs he has met but can be selective with others. He would do best with a laid back and calm companion dog or as an only dog. He had been in a doggie daycare off and on in his previous home. He would love a home with an active family that will take him on hikes, walks and other adventures together. Kobe will need a home with no children. Please contact Captain Spish Dog Behavior for an adoption application if interested. Email: captainspish@gmail.com.

More about this rescue

The American Lurcher Rescue Project, Inc. (“ALP”) aka Ohio Lurcher Project is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of racing lurchers and greyhound mixes. We work hard to find responsible groups and/or homes when and, if appropriate, for retired racing lurchers and greyhound mixes that have been abandoned or no longer wanted. The ALP transports lurchers to adoption groups, does direct adoptions, and provides basic and emergency medical care, and temporary boarding. We work hard to raise awareness of the need for finding homes for the racing lurchers once their career has ended, through social media, networking, and the general support of a caring community.
