Update from my foster 4/26: Teal has been doing great with crate training. He goes to the door and gives a little scratch to let you know he is ready to go potty. He is sleeping through the night, although he'd like to know that someone is close by. He is great on the leash and knows some basic commands: sit, stay, come, and touch. He is curious, like puppies are, but is responsive to being redirected if he picks up something other than a toy or food. He loves to be held and cuddled and is an adorable little shadow around the house. He and our resident dog are getting along well. He will be a great pup for an active family who will shower him with attention and exercise!

Teal and his three siblings were surrendered to an overcrowded, rural shelter in South Carolina when they were only 8 weeks old. The crowded kennels are no place for babies to grow up, so we brought them to Maryland for their chance at finding forever homes!

As of 3/19, Teal is around 8 weeks old and 11 lbs. At best guess, he is some kind of Labrador retriever/Hound mix, but since we do not know who his parents are we cannot say for sure! He will most likely be a medium to large dog full-grown. Like all puppies, he is looking for a forever home with time, patience, and love to train him into the best boy he can be!
