ZENA IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!

Zena is a 6 year old lab mix. She was found chained up outside with her 9 newborn puppies at Sardis Lake. The puppies were scattered around during a heavy rainstorm, and she could not reach them. She was severely underweight and heartworm positive when she entered the rescue. She is now 50lbs and heartworm negative! She has come a long way. Zena is house trained, crate trained, and knows how to use a doggy door. She is very loving and craves attention from her people, so she would be fine as an only dog. She does get along well with her furry siblings in the foster home, but she does take time to warm up, so we recommend slow introductions. She is a very active dog and loves to play outside with her foster siblings. She has come such a long way and would love nothing more than a furever home. She has been known to jump a fence, so a tall 6ft wooden fence is recommended to keep her from taking an occasional stroll after a squirrley friend. 

Zena has had all of her shots, as well as rabies vaccination, is spayed, and microchipped. Zena is ready to meet and bond with her furever family. Zena's adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to VA.   We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Zena up north to her new family.
