My story

HI
SUCH A KIND DOG-that's what everyone keeps saying.
I'm Fairfax! I had a really crappy start to life but, luckily, the nice rescue people saw my mange ridden body at the shelter and scooped me up! I am looking GOOD these days! Hair growthapalooza! (the photo with my foster sister was from my first week in rescue when my hair was slowly starting to grow in)
I am around 2 years old-maybe younger.
I am 45 lbs
Good with dogs (currently fostered with two small dogs)
I am initially shy but once I am comfortable (like at my foster home) I warm up super fast and I am super super playful! A home with another dog to play with would be so much fun!
I am crate trained and house broken and I can't wait to meet you!

*please note
All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet.

Why adoption is a great option

Fairfax, a Los Angeles Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
