Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our good friend Eddie is looking for your help! Eddie was a long time resident and volunteer favorite at the shelter, he arrived in October 2021 as a stray and after waiting patiently he was adopted by an individual late April. Originally when speaking with the adopter afterwards everything was going well, he was getting along with the other dog in the home as well as their cat. However, a short time later the adopter decided Eddie wasn't the right fit; and instead of returning him to the shelter they posted an elaborate tale about someone leaving Eddie on their doorstep and asking for someone to take him in. Luckily a person stepped up even though the story posted online was false and offered to watch Eddie to find his owner, but when he had Eddie scanned for a chip and found out the person that claimed he was 'dumped' on their doorstep was the actual person on the chip that adopted him they realized they were just played by a deceptive lie by the person actually dumping their pet :(
We have been in contact with the person that offered to watch Eddie when they thought he was a stray looking for owner and he has offered to temporarily foster him to avoid going back to the shelter, but can only watch him for a short time. Eddie is a typical young happy husky, full of fun energy and loves meeting new people and other dogs. He spent time with a cat in a home as well and did very well, the shelter he came from is beyond full and we would love to find this boy a FURever home considering all he's been through in such a short time.
Eddie is approximately 3 years old, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He was a resident 'helper dog' at the shelter because he was so good at perking up shy/fearful dogs and not reacting to a dog that was reactive towards him in a dog test.
If you or someone you know is looking for a people/dog/cat friendly pup to add to their pack please contact 714-699-3481 or info@ocshelterpets.com soon because Eddie doesn't have much time before he is #ShelterBound once more. If you are not able to help him directly as a permanent foster or through adoption please share his story in hopes he can land a great FURever home!
