Ava's adoption donation is $425 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, dhlpp, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. Ava has also had a dental cleaning. Ava was on special food to resolve some urinary crystals and has made significant progress. She will need to be monitored going forward and will require a home with a strong veterinary history.
Ava came into rescue with four other Shih Tzu girls from Louisiana through no fault of her own when her owner could no longer care for her due to a change in life circumstances. Ava has done great in rescue and is really looking forward to her furever home. She would be fine as an only dog and is really enjoying the attention in her foster home. Ava does tend to get underfoot when on leash, so a fenced yard would be best for her. Ava requires a home with a strong, verifiable veterinary history.
