My story

MUST MOVE! I am a loving, semi energetic, house trained, crate trained and walks on leash lad that likes other dogs and LOVES humans. You can contact us directly at info@dogdiggityrescue.com to fill out an adoption application or fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other
I am an easy fun loving house dog that is crate/house/leash trained. Do you have a couch for me inside a house with a securely fenced yard? Zorro is a 6 year old 45 lb Retriever mix. He is a very sweet and friendly lad that will love hanging out on your couch or his dog beds. He is okay with low energy/non overbearing dogs. He is crate and house trained. He is an indoor dog looking for home with recently retired couple that like to take walks.

All adopted pups and dogs are transported to WA/OR families when fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. For information on how to adopt me, please contact my foster parents at info@dogdiggityrescue.com. L&S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees.

Why adoption is a great option

Zorro, a Portland Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
