My story

Meet Blake, the cool dude on the block who really is a big cuddly bear. Blake is a 6 month old Labrador mix that was brought to the shelter by the Sheriff’s Department with his siblings. Blake is a happy boy that loves to play with other dogs, but adores the company of people. Blake is looking for a secure home with lots of love and companionship. Blake is an all around great dog and will make a wonderful family addition. Pick Blake!

Blake’s adoption fee is $100.00 and this includes sterilization at 6 months, shots, and worming with an optional microchipping and registration for an additional $20.00. We have a dog park to check compatibility with existing dogs. Fill out an adoption application at heberspringshumanesociety.com. If your application is approved, a volunteer will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment. The adoption application is NOT on Adopt-a-Pet. You must apply on our shelter website.

More about this shelter

Our orginzation was founded by Doug Bakko. Funds were raised to build the original shelter on land donated. The shelter has since been expanded using donations and fund raisers. We are the only Shelter in Cleburne County. Our operating funds come from our Thrift Shop, donations, fund raisers and some assistance from the city of Heber Springs, surrounding towns and Cleburne County. We keep animals as long as we possibly can and work very hard at adoptions! We do this because we love animals and want to give them a safe haven and every chance possible to go to a loving home.
