My story

Sweetie Pie is a little on the shy side at first. Once she gets to know you she will come rub against your leg to be petted. Sweetie Pie loves dogs! She doesn't enjoy being picked up, but is very affectionate with people she loves. She loves to spend time on the screen porch, watching dogs play in the yard and enjoying the fresh air.

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
