Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gothel is a beautiful 2-year old female Tuxedo kitty who arrived at the HSOV on April 28, 2022 after she was found by a Good Samaritan on Bells Run Road in the Newport Ohio area. Gothel was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.
Gothel had a puncture wound on her right side when she entered our shelter, so she was examined/treatment by a local veterinarian soon after her arrival.
Gothel has a black-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable (rather mischievous-looking) symmetrically-marked face with golden eyes, a pink-and-black nose, and long white whiskers/eyebrows.
Gothel has a fun-loving, vivacious outgoing personality and wanted attention more than anything else in the world when we stopped by to take photos on May 3rd after she returned from her vet visit .. And she was not shy about asking for extra TLC or taking matters into her own paws.
Gothel loves attention from her people friends, but she does NOT do well with dogs. We don't know yet how she feels about other cats.
Gothel was given pyrantel wormer on April 28th and flea treatment on May 5, 2022.
Gothel was given vaccinations on May 4, 2022. She was also combo tested that day and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm. Gothel weighs 8 lbs.
In the event that Gothel is not reclaimed, we will have her spayed and find her a loving home either through adoption or rescue.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
UPDATE: Gothel was spayed on May 24, 2022 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 8.11 lbs that day.
