My story

Let me introduce myself. I'm Kamaji, a gorgeous fluffy 6-year-old male black and white tuxedo love bug. My crazy big green eyes are hilarious and irresistible. My former family surrendered me and now I am ready for a new home. It won’t take long for us to get acquainted. I’m super friendly and affectionate. How affectionate? Let me count the ways: rubbing, head butting, pussy-footing across your lap/chest and snuggling up. You will love petting my long fur and listening to my purr motor box. My favorite place to be is near you! I like to tag along wherever you go.

While I do enjoy soft fuzzy places to chill, I also like to play. That red dot laser thing gets me going. I can hold my own with a circle track of moving balls. And then there is just the low-tech pastime of gazing out the window while I daydream about my imaginary super-cat life.

Not a fan of loud noises, I’m pretty quiet myself. Occasionally you will hear my cute, soft meows. “Sound” appealing? Let’s get together!

Why adoption is a great option

Kamaji, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
