My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name- Kyah (means 'strong willed') Breed & Color- GSD , Brown and black Age- 2 years Sex- Female Weight- 60 pounds (currently underweight but now in our care she is gaining weight and looking healthier) How dog came in- Stray Medical concerns-Presenting complaint: Left ear hematoma Vet Diagnosis: Aural hematoma left ear. Old- thickened no fluid to drain. Per Eval: Kyah is wiggly, sweet, and friendly with strangers but calm in the kennel. She moves around a lot and is very curious. She likes attention and pets and readily accepts handling. She plays gently and favors the ball over the squeaky toys. She is a competitive eater but gave up the food bowl and chew stick when prompted. She knows the command sit. She was very nervous in the dog to dog and tried to walk away. When she was walked to the other dog she began to growl. We tried a dog to dog with a younger dog and received the same result. Overall is friendly and sweet and very playful. She would be great for a family with children 12 years and older. She was very nervous with other dogs so she may be okay in a household with another dog with proper introduction and acclimation period. She is now in a foster home.
