My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org

Louise came in with her sister Thelma back in September 2021. She's the strong protector of the two, not trusting people right away. Through time, patience, & love in foster care, she's really come out of her shell. She's not the most exuberant of the foster kitties in the home, & she's not one to want to be held a lot but she'll let you know when she does want a good cuddle session & she will soak up every second of your love & cuddles- she's a very good kitty. She'd definitely be happier in a home with less cats (there's 8 in her foster home) & she occasionally bullies the more timid girls but she would love to go with Thelma, who has an opposite personality. Louise is up to date on shots & is spayed. All cat & kitten adoption fees are a free will donation to approved applicants

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
