My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

I'm a pocket pitty!!

Faith is 4 years old, 40lbs and loves to go on walks. Faith is looking for a new BFF that she can have all to her own. We are looking for the best home for Faith as she came originally from an unpleasant situation. Faith has been in a home with a small child and its just stressing her out - so we are hoping to find a home without kids for her.

Faith needs: a fully fenced in backyard. A family that likes to go on walks and understands the quirks of a pitty mix. Faith is strong willed and needs a strong owner that will give her structure. For her we ask no other animals (cats or dogs) since she has not been able to properly share toys or food with another dog.

Faith is housebroken, crate trained, fully vetted and heartworm negative. She does have some thunderstorm fear which can be managed with natural calming chews.

Let's find Faith a great home.

More about this rescue

Second Chance” is not a second chance for dogs, because that would presume they had a first chance and failed. The majority of the dogs we rescue never had any chances, first, second, or otherwise. The name of our rescue refers to giving humans a second chance to provide a safe, healthy, and loving home and environment for our dogs, since most of these dogs come to us after they have been abused or neglected by their owners. SCF solely relies on volunteers to get the work done and no one receives compensation for their work. SCF receives no funding from the government or the United Way. Our adoption fees and donations from other dog lovers cover our costs.
