My story

Hi, my name is Spartacus, but everyone calls me Sparky. As you can see I am a handsome Hound/heeler mix, around 35 lbs who loves to smile. Don't let my age fool you, I am 6 years YOUNG! I can still go on walks or hikes with you and love to explore new places. I love all the other hoomans but I need to be the only doggo in the house. Check out how cute my little eyebrows are - don't you just love them? I know you will love me too if you welcome me into your home!

All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel
