My story

Six year old neutered male Tabby. We adopted Snickers and a neutered Female nearly six years ago. Has been a great, affectionate friend - part of the family. Last October we lost one of our senior Shih Tzus to cancer and bought a puppy in December. The entire dynamics of the house changed and despite all our efforts, Snickers has shown aggression toward both Senior (who he has always been great with) and puppy. Sadly, we don't want to risk harm to either.
"Snick" will come when called and play fetch. Loves to spend time on screened back porch [he's about 95% broken of trying to climb the screen - just a stern "Snickers" will make him stop] or just curl up in your lap or on your shoulder. He is 100% indoor. Really hate to see him go! Must go to loving home!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
