My story

Our boy Trico is one of those really cool young dogs that has been raised right and been a part of the everyday life of his adoptive mom who is a therapist.  He is a little guy that is only 30 pounds and turning one year in June.   We think he has some Beagle and Lab in him and as you can see he really knows how to command the room's attention.  His adoptive mom wanted him to be a part of her every day work life where she helps people through their emotional struggles and path to a better mental calmness.  I have been really good in this role of making all these people smile and feel calmer when they visit.  You see I adore people and since my mom says that I am very intelligent and curious about everything, she now says that due to her health, she cannot keep me forever and ever.  She wants me to go to a home with younger people who are fun and active and who will allow me to snuggle with them and will show me the same kind of affection that I now show all I meet.  I am a sit in  your lap and curl up kind of dog and bell rubs will win me over in two seconds.   My well rounded personality has been able to be around all living creatures including dogs and cats!   I am a major chewer that needs the heavy duty Nylabones or Benebones that will keep me happy and chewing the right stuff for hours.  I sometimes have a few accidents and so my current mom uses Pee Pads.   But I know I can get the  hang of it if you try to teach me how to signal you to go outside.  I am very food oriented and I can learn faster if you dangle the treats and make me earn them.  My leash skills are OK ....not perfection but someone really good at training will whip me into shape in no time.   I need a fenced yard that is secure and will allow me to run my little legs off with exercise time.  One little quirk is that I hate to be in a room with a closed door....so just be aware.... Open Door Policy is best for me.   Let me sleep in bed with you....let me love you to the moon and back and let me come to work with you because I will claim the best chair and sit there to help you solve the problems of the world.  Lately I think there have been quite a few from what I hear.   Please email at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in my chunky monkey little soul to be your BFF.

PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
