Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mimi is a 10-12 year old girl that we saved from a rural shelter several months back. She came to us with extreme hair loss and painful looking ear masses. This poor girl has been through so much, but she’s finally ready for her happily ever after home.
Although Mimi is technically considered a “senior”, she still has plenty of spunk left! She enjoys sitting on her persons lap and riding in the car and does well on a leash. Mimi goes to doggy daycare frequently, and has been totally non reactive on leash, but does not care to share a household with other dogs. So she will need a forever home where she’s the only pup.
Due to the severity of her chronic ear infections prior to coming to us, Mimi had to have TECA surgeries done on both ears. She can no longer hear, but she’s finally free from those nasty, painful infections! Because Mimi does not do well sharing a household with other dogs, she is currently stuck in boarding which is no place for her to spend her golden years.
Mimi here! I’m now in a foster home where I’m the only dog, and they say I’m Perfect!! Yep, I’m a senior. Yep, I’m totally deaf. Yep, my knees are bad. But I still go on plenty of walks (I prefer sidewalks and boardwalks to trails), like to play with toys if you play with me, adore car rides, sleep through the night, do my business outside, adore belly rubs and snuggling with my people or napping near my people.
Oh, do I LOVE my people! I love my people so much I will not share them, so I have to be an only dog. I’m fine with dogs in general, just not if they try to take my person from me inside my house.
I have meds for a heart murmur that I need to take twice a day, along with some supplements that help me recover from all the neglect I’ve been through and keep my poor knees in as good a shape as possible. But I also love food (maybe more than people) so you just put my meds in my bowl with food and I eat them right up. Oh yeah, the other word my foster mom uses a lot to describe me is Easy. They also say I’m Adorable when I sleep because I’m missing my front teeth, so my tongue always sticks out when I’m relaxed.
If you need a super sweet senior girl in your life (and you don’t have any other dogs) I would love to meet you!
