My story

Pink is a sweet girl with lots of energy. She just wants affection from everyone, and especially loves butt scratches and belly rubs. Her foster reports that she seems to be housebroken, and is really good on a leash. She loves playing with toys and having a good time. She knows how to sit and will show you for a treat. She's done well with the other dogs that she's met here at our facility and is living with in her foster home. She'd make a great dog for someone, but gets too nervous around small children.

More about this shelter

Our mission is to promote humane principles, protect lost, homeless, abandoned and mistreated animals, and act as advocates for animals in our communities. Animal Friends Humane Society (AFHS) was established in 1952 and is the only open- admission shelter in Butler County, Ohio. In 2009, AFHS relocated from its outdated facility in Trenton and now occupies a 22,500 sq. foot facility with top-notch amenities for its shelter population in Hamilton, Ohio. By adopting nationally recognized best practices for animal shelters, AFHS has been successful in increasing its overall save rate and hit a record high of 94% in 2020. Assisting over 5,000 pets each year, AFHS is committed to providing individual care to local pets in need. As Butler County’s largest and oldest 501(c)3 non-profit animal shelter, AFHS is always in need of community support to continue its lifesaving mission. Adopt, Volunteer, Donate to help save more lives!
