My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who needs multiple doggos when you can have the whole Crew in one?

Meet Crew! This handsome, soulful 2-year old Lab mix just arrived from AL and is ready to charm his way into your heart and family. At just under 60lbs, he's the perfect medium sized boy, is so gentle, and loves affection. He can be shy at first but warmed up quickly in his foster home -- to the humans and resident dogs alike.

Quiet in his crate and in the car, he's house trained, and walks like a gentleman on his leash. His docile demeanor makes him kid, dog and cat friendly, so he would be the perfect addition to any household or existing pack.

Crew was treated for heartworms down south -- we cannot stress enough how important preventatives are for this guy (and all dogs!) -- but he is recovering well and can't wait to meet his forever family.

If you're a lab lover who doesn't mind a little white fluff on your black clothes, and have some extra room on your couch for him to curl up on, you must meet Crew! Until then, he'll be taking it easy in York, PA with his foster family.

We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
