My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blake was found running around White Rock Lake in Dallas on a cold, sleeting February day. His rescuers thought that he was wearing a collar with tags, but as they got closer to him, they saw that he actually had a tightly-knotted rope around his neck. He also had a head wound. He's now been vetted and has fully recovered from his injury.

Blake was very shy when he came to us, but he's responded beautifully to TLC and is now friendly and affectionate. He gets along great with other dogs his size and larger, and even with some smaller pups, and we're certain that he'd be happiest in a home with a canine buddy (no kitties, though). Blake has lots of energy and loves to go for walks or to doggie daycare. He rides well in a car. He'll need some manners training, but he's smart and eager to please. Do you have room in your heart and home for this remarkable, resilient boy? He's truly a wonderful dog who'd be the perfect companion for an active family. How about yours?
