A potential adopter is required to fill out an adoption application which includes information regarding their home environment, current/prior pets, etc. We also require them to provide at least 2 references. A volunteer will review the application, contact the references, and provide information regarding the specific pet they are interested in adopting. If we receive a favorable response when we contact the references, the potential adopter is then required to complete the actual adoption contract.. We encourage communication by email. Due to our limited staff, our office is only open part-time but we will return all phone calls as soon as possible.
