My story

It has been about one year since Jasmine Rose arrived at the rescue, and it is well past due for her to find her forever home. Jasmine Rose is an extremely darling, little Shih Tzu beauty, who has stolen the hearts of us all here at the rescue. This vivacious senior is full of life and love, and is very sweet and friendly to all. She is about 11-13 years old and 8-9 pounds. Jasmine Rose loves to sit in a cozy lap and enjoys lots of attention and affection. She also gets along well with other dogs.

Jasmine Rose walks abnormally, as you can see in the video, due to a spinal cord issue, most likely spinal disc disease. This has not changed in the year we have had

her. She is not in pain and has normal bladder and bowel control. In fact, Jasmine Rose is active and alert, and loves to spend time walking in the yard and down the walkway, at her own pace. She is happy and well adjusted, and has great zest for life. Being with her is both heartwarming and inspiring.

Jasmine Rose’s new home will need a nice fenced yard (leash walks are out), and she must always be watched closely when outside. Also, any dog in her new home must be small and gentle. We have an adoption contract that must be completed and approved. We require vet and personal references as well home checks. Our normal response time is approximately 7 to 10 working days. Our Adoption Committee works very hard to place our dogs in environments where they will be most likely to succeed. Please understand that we have more applications than we do dogs and that if you do not hear from us within that timeframe, we currently do not have a dog who we feel would match your needs.

Our fee includes neuter or spay, all shots, and snap test for heartworm/erlichia/lyme. We take care of whatever their medical needs might be before they are adopted.

WE DO NOT SHIP OR ADOPT OUT OF THE SOUTH FLORIDA AREA.
