My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Hazel Candy.

She is about five months old and weighs 40 pounds.

This beautiful pup was originally found living under a mobile home with another pup. They chased some chickens, got kicked out of the yard, and Lucky Lab came to their rescue. Hazel has been living in a wonderful foster home for the last month and a half and is doing so well.

Her foster mom says:
Hazel loves meeting people and dogs and is very friendly. She does get excited and will jump – we are working on down and not responding to her until she sits. We don't recommend a home with young children -- only kids 13 and over.

We don't know how she is with cats and she appears to be a medium energy pup.

She is nearly housebroken and crate trained. She will go in her crate when no one is home and is happy there. She does not sleep in the crate at night, though sometimes she will nap in the crate. She loves to sleep on the bed and is a bed hog. :)
She knows her name and she's been working on the commands: sit, leave it, and down.
She loves toys of all kinds. She will drag all her toys out and then take turns taking them outside and bringing them back in.
She just started leash training. She's done well so far but has a lot to learn.
She loves attention and each morning when she wakes up she will get as close as possible and give you all the kisses. She also loves to give kisses to her foster sisters.
Hazel loves to be around people. She is never far from us when we are home. She loves to play and will happily dig through the toy box to find her favorite for the day. She is excellent with other dogs and when meeting people. She really just wants to be loved and spoiled!
We think she may be a Lab-Shepherd mix? We are only guessing, we don't DNA test our dogs.

Hazel is vaccinated and microchipped. Apply at www.luckylabrescue.com
