Bettie loves all people and kids. She also LOVES balls and wants you to just keep playing with her. Bettie is very high energy and needs plenty of exercise and attention. She is in great athletic shape, not even for a bulldog, for a dog in general! She takes 40 minute walks, comes home and wants to keep playing.
Bettie is perfectly happy to be walked on-leash to potty. She is very dominant and can be aggressive towards other dogs if they show opposition to her. Slow introductions and establishing boundaries work best.
Bettie cannot be in a home with cats. She does not like lawn equipment, vacuums, anything with a stick -like handle (mops, rakes, etc). Bettie will attack them all—stalking and barking at them. Treats work best when trying to redirect her attention.

After screening your application and conducting reference checks, we will do a telephone interview with you.

Home Check
Every potential adopter must agree to a home visit by one of our volunteers. The visit may include meeting a bully in our care.
