My story

Meet Palmer. Oh sure he’s super handsome, but we know looks aren’t everything and he’s got SO much more to offer! At about 5-6 months he’s got all that amazing puppy play but is already rocking his basics like a big boy. House trained? Check! Recall? Check! Palmer loves everyone he meets - well, except for cats, he thinks those are pretty darn scary! But dogs and people (big and small), and even horses, sheep, and goats - he loves them all (no chickens though, please)! This lightning-fast pup is perfect for an active family…and an even better match for one with another awesome dog that will play all day. Palmer is counting the minutes til he meets his forever and always. Could you be the one for him?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We conduct home visits. There is an adoption fee that is usually around $250 per dog to cover any expenses we have incurred. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Go meet their pets

Since all rescue dogs live in our homes with us or in foster homes, you will need to travel to meet any dog you might want to adopt. You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog.

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are a highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary. It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
