My story

5/13/2022 - My name is Sissy!

We are proud to announce that Sissy will soon be a graduate of the Paws in Prison program; an elite, intense training program that only the finest candidates may enter. He will be in the program for 6-8 weeks and will come out with a wealth of training that any owner would be proud to show off to their friends and family. We are currently accepting applications for adoption while she is in training,

Sissy is about 10 months old and weighs about 36 pounds. She is great with dogs and kids. She hasn't met any cats yet so we don't know how she will be with cats.

Sissy is a super sweet, loving active, happy girl!

* The adoption fee of $475 includes age-appropriate vaccines, initial de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, microchip and transport fee.
* The application is the first step in all inquiries and adoptions

Additional adoption info

We require the potential adopter to fill out an application form and tell us about what life would be like as a puppy at your house. The address to the adoption form can be found in the pups' bio. Once the application is received, we will check your references and then contact you for an informal "phone interview." If it is mutually determined to be a good match, an adoption contract is sent via email. Our adoption fee is stated in their bios, and is due at the time of adoption. A signed and dated adoption contract is due at puppy pick up.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to save as many dogs as possible and to transport them to homes in states where there is a high demand for rescued dogs. We are highly selective about our southern rescue partners. Our intake volunteers are trained to select adoptable dogs based on health and temperament assessments. While our pups are being cared for and socialized in their foster homes, we address any medical needs the dogs may have. Your dog will come to you having received age-appropriate vaccines, initial de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, and a microchip. While our pups are being cared for in the south, we are busy processing applications to find them their perfect forever homes. To adopt from us, the first step is to complete the application which you can access by clicking the link above. To ensure a good fit, the application is followed by a veterinary reference check (if you have/had current or previous pets) and a phone interview with one of our Adoption Coordinators and/or the dog's foster parent. The process may also include a home visit. If you are approved for adoption, it's time for your pup to hitch a ride on our transport to New England to join your family!
