Kami would do best in a home with at least one friendly resident dog!
Kami was picked up as a stray in South Carolina, underweight and covered in old scars. Unsurprisingly, she was also heartworm positive, which is an easily preventable but deadly disease if left untreated. She received treatment for heartworms in the shelter and is now looking for a forever home to recover in!
Kami is around 2 years old and 33 lbs. She looks like a Rottweiler in a Basset Hound's body! Kami is very shy with people but totally blossoms around other dogs. She has lived in a foster home with 7 other dogs and she seamlessly integrated into the pack. She is looking for a home with at least one friendly resident dog to show her the ropes and help her to gain confidence. She is very quiet in the crate and doing well with her house training. She will "smile" when she's happy to see you, which to the untrained eye can look like a snarl or growl, but in Kami's case comes from pure happiness! Kami is such a sweet girl who deserves the very best forever home.
