Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Carmel, 7-year-old Retriever/Corgi, is a perfect size dog who adores kids and would love a family who will take her on adventures with them. Her foster mom has worked very hard to get this chunky monkey down to a svelte 38lbs. She still needs to lose a couple more pounds but don't tell her that. 🤫 She knows several commands and is very smart and eager to learn. She's very food motivated. She's got the cutest floppy ears and loves belly rubs. Although she's not a fan of small dogs, she is currently living with a mellow larger dog. She loves car rides especially to the local coffee drive thru for a treat. She's crate trained and can also be left alone in the house. She does have typical corgi traits. She will try to herd chickens, rabbits, squirrels, cats, etc. and will use her voice to tell them when they aren't listening. And did we mention she really loves kids?
Carmel might be ok with a large mellow do with proper intro, no small dogs. Carmel does not understand fetch, she has learned how to get treats from Kong. No health concerns, she had a recent dental, loves veggies. Located in southern Idaho, transport is available to approved foster/adopter within the northwest. What more information on Carmel or give her the forever home she needs email journeyhomerescue@outlook.com ask for Carmel!
