My story

We think Grapes has some or all Himalayan in him based on his coloring and coat. This amazingly gentle cat followed a cleaning lady in Kuwait down a very busy road. The woman could not bring him into the house because she only worked there. Thank God a kind rescuer was called and took Grapes into her home until it could all be sorted out as to what to do with this cat.

Grapes was filthy, emaciated, starving and suffering from utter neglect. No doubt he was a pet at some point based on his gentle loving demeanor. As with so many overseas cats they are not considered lifelong pets.

Since Grapes has been with his foster he has flourished. Gained weight, ear infection treated, blood work and 7 teeth pulled.

He is a wonderful loving lap cat. He gets along just fine with his fellow foster mates and might possibly would do ok with a gentle dog.

Please open your heart up to a wonderful, loving, handsome and affectionate older cat. He will give you so much love and show his appreciation every day...

Why adoption is a great option

Grapes, a Fairfax Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
