Little Joey found himself at the wrong shelter at the wrong time and was scheduled to be euthanized the day after we learned that he needed help! We sprang into action to save this adorable boy who is full of energy!

Joey is about 1-2 years old and weights about 40 pounds and thinks everything is wonderful and exciting! He is the life of the party and is always up for an adventure or some play time. He loves to romp around the yard with all of his doggie friends and thinks every human is the best human he's ever met! He is an active young man who will be looking for a new owner who can teach him some basic manners and can take him to explore this wonderful world! Is it you?

Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
