My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application. The link to the Cat Adoption application can be found at**

Jackson is as sweet as they come! He's a very calm boy, loves a good nap with his buddies but does enjoy playing too. He would love nothing more than a home of his very own, with people to spoil him, a lap to nap on, & maybe one other calm kitty to play with (perhaps one of his buddies from the indigo room?) Jackson is one of those shy kitties that just really really wants some attention but is too shy to ask for it.  Once he feels safe with you he just melts into the squishy kitty he loves to be. Jackson will need a quiet home that he can adjust to and blossom in!  Jackson was born summer of 2021 and is neutered and up to date on shots. As with all cat/ kitten adoptions, approved applicants pay only a free will donation

Additional adoption info

All interested parties must fill out an adoption application and be approved prior to adoption. If a family has currently, or in the recent past had pets then a veterinary reference is required. If not then two personal references are required. Our adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$300. Our adoption fee for cats is free will donation. After an adoption has been approved an adoption contract must be signed.

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
