My story

Welcome Moog to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 1.5-year-old Tree Walker Coon Hound or Hound mixed dog. She came in with some puppies and CCPAL took the entire family. She has 2 white hound pups and one brown one. They are adorable. When she barks she does sound like a Hound breed. She is very gentle and sweet. She is wonderful with dogs of all temperaments and she is tolerant of the puppies and their antics. She would be great as a family pet and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She has a smooth shorter coat and not a big shedding dog. Hounds are best in a fenced yard over an underground fencing. They can scent off so they are best with a true fence. She is moderate to lower active and would be fine with a moderate family. A walk or two a day or run around the yard would be enough for her. She likes to lounge around and enjoy laying and watching. She is decent on a leash and good in a crate. She is fine in the car as well. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states

Why adoption is a great option

Moog, a Bandera Treeing Walker Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Bandera, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Bandera.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bandera already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bandera breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bandera paves the way for another one to be saved.
