My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

See below for this rabbit's description. To apply for this rabbit, go to and fill out an online application form: All our rabbits are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for RHDV2 and litter box trained!
This sweet bunny couple adopted in Jan 2020 is coming back because their last human had to move across the country. Of course, this is no fault of their own. They're easygoing bunnies with great house habits and will fit in beautifully to their new forever home.

Pickles and Miso are a bunny couple very much in love. They spend much of their time together grooming, lounging, and eating in their shared hay box. Originally from the Mar Vista Rescue of 2019, they're most likely in the 3-4 year old range. Because of this difficult beginning, these two are definitely "no touch" rabbits and are well suited for a no children home where they will have plenty of peace and space to do their own thing.

Pickles, the agouti boy, is the more outgoing one with a curious personality. He will like to give you a sniff or two just to see what you're doing or, once you have built some trust, hop up on the couch to visit. He definitely doesn't love to be pet however and will hop away for invading his personal space, although he can be coaxed to stay with a treat. Once Pickles is comfortable, he'll run, binky, and flop everywhere, staking a claim to "his" space.

Miso, the brown girl, definitely does not trust humans and prefers to be left with her boyfriend. However, she is VERY treat motivated and with lots of patience and care can be convinced to allow an occasional head pat if there's a slice of banana involved. Provide Miso with lots of places to hide, some grass mats to dig at, and willow toys to chew, and she will be very happy.

We match people with rabbits, rabbits with rabbits.

Home Check

We call this a "home safety visit" because safety for rabbits can get complex---we want it to be safe but we are not intrusive.

Meet the Pet

During the RHDV2 and COVID19 epidemic and pandemic, we are limiting contact with our rabbits to people who are seriously interested.

Sign Adoption Contract

We have an adoption contract that acts as a safety net for the rabbit: if something happens to you, bunny comes back to us.

Pay Fee

We have adoption fees ranging from $90-150 depending on our prior investment in the rabbit. Pairs are $150-250.

Additional adoption info

Our rabbit adoption fee includes the neuter, vaccination and micro chip (we do not adopt out unaltered rabbits under any circumstances). Rabbits must live in an indoor, cage-free environment. Exercise pens that are at least 4' x 4' with additional run time in a rabbit-proofed room are acceptable. Note: We do not adopt out of the Greater Los Angeles area unless the adopter has previously adopted from us.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We are adopting out rabbits by appointment only. Location of meeting place will be provided after potential adopters and organization have agreed on meeting specific rabbits.

Our weekly mobile adoption venue is ON HOLD for now
due to COVID-19.

All rabbits will have to be vaccinated for RHDV2 to meet there in future.
