MEET BIMBO
Currently in Jerome

BIMBO is a friendly 9 month old un-altered male St. Bernard/German Shorthair mix that was rescued from a terrible living situation by Friends Furever Animal Rescue. The pup lived only outdoors. Recently, he was severely beaten by a large man who believed that he was disciplining, but the pup only knew that he was being violently beaten. The entire family has left the man and the only home that they knew. They are living in a temporary home where they cannot keep BIMBO. Rehoming BIMBO will help the family find a safe place for all.

BIMBO lived with other dogs and kids since birth. He is friendly to strangers that approach the home. He has not yet encountered any cats, but will chase and/or attack birds/chickens.

BIMBO has spent little time indoors, so we don’t know if he is housetrained. He was left alone outdoors either tied or in a kennel for 9 - 12 hours a day. Despite all this, he knows ‘sit’, ‘come’, and ‘give paw’. He loves playing fetch, chase, wrestling, and tug with his people. He plays with plush and tug toys. He hasn’t been exposed to riding in cars much and may get sick until he becomes accustomed to it.

BIMBO is healthy and health vaccinated.
Friends Furever Animal Rescue will take care of his neuter, rabies vaccine, and microchip him for his furever family.

-----------WE NEED AT LEAST A FOSTER HOME ASAP to keep everyone safe.------------

Why adoption is a great option

BIMBO, a Jerome St. Bernard/German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard/German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Jerome, or seeking a St. Bernard/German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Jerome.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jerome already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jerome breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with St. Bernard/German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jerome paves the way for another one to be saved.
